At the intersection of Social Justice, Art and Commerce you’ll find cinematographer, Emily Topper.  Her stunning imagery on film has captured activists and artists all around the world. 

Emily has collaborated with Field of Vision, The California Endowment, (RED), Hairpin, Loteria Films, Vice,  and the Redford Center.  In 2016, Emily partnered with an anonymous art collective to capture the astonishing flower petals falling from the skies above Los Angeles.  

Emily's commercial clients include Google, Proctor and Gamble, Splendid, and Vanguard Records.

"The Departure," the tale of an extraordinary Buddhist priest and his fight against the isolation of mental illness, premiered at Tribeca in 2017.

"116 Camera" (Full Frame 2017) follows Eva Schloss, a Holocaust survivor, as she enters the bizarre world of interactive technology to create a version of herself to tell her story long after she is gone. 

Emily is currently shooting a multi-year film about a group of farmers in the Andes of Peru.

She lives in Los Angeles.
